Epoxy Curing Agents

Epoxy curing agents and specialty mercaptan blends formulated to meet a wide range of cure-time and rapid-set requirements.

CAPCURE® and GABEPRO® Mercaptans

Are you looking for accelerated cure times, improved adhesion and enhanced physical properties? Gabriel polymeric mercaptans provide excellent bond strength to glass, metal, concrete and wood, and fast-set characteristics, making them ideal for any number of industrial products and consumer adhesives. A perfect example is the automotive repair market. If a consumer needs a windshield replaced, they do not want to wait long. Gabriel mercaptans help ensure the new windshield properly adheres to the metal frame, will withstand harsh weather elements for long life and cures quickly, so the consumer can drive away without a long wait.

Gabriel mercaptans are used in many markets and applications, including:

  • Anchor bolt adhesives
  • Automotive aftermarket repair compounds
  • Coatings, adhesives and sealants
  • DIY consumer market for general purpose bonding
  • Floor repairs
  • Grouts & concrete repair products
  • Hobby & craft adhesives and coatings
  • Joint sealants
  • NSF potable water coatings
  • Patching compounds
  • Road marker adhesives

Versamid® Liquid Polyamide Resins

Versamid® resins are reactive polyamide resins designed for use with solid or liquid epoxy resins to provide tough, chemical-resistant, thermoset coating applications that cure at room temperature. These materials also find use in adhesive applications. Versamid® resins offer unique combinations of hardness and flexibility along with the highest chemical and solvent resistance of the dimer-based polyamide resin series.

Versamid® and epoxy resin systems are recommended for applications such as:

  • Joint sealants
  • NSF potable water coatings
  • Patching compounds
  • Maintenance coating applications
  • Primers
  • High solids enamel paint formulations

Amines

Gabriel amines accelerate the cure time of amine and polyamide systems, and can also be used with curing agents such as anhydrides, polysulfides and mercaptans. They also serve as a delayed action catalyst for rigid polyisocyanurate foams. Gabriel amines are essential components in the formulation of products and technologies used in several markets, such as:

  • Adhesives
  • Civil engineering and infrastructure
  • Coatings
  • Composites

Gabriel Phenoxies

Phenoxy Resin – Tough, clear and flexible thermoplastic resins used to enhance the performance of coatings, adhesives, composites, tires, carbon fibers and many other products.
