Gabriel Phenoxy Resins have specific uses in composites applications, both in fiber sizing and in matrix resin compositions. Phenoxy Resins have excellent adhesion to glass and carbon fibers. Phenoxy sizings enable excellent compatibility with epoxy-based matrix resins, and with vinyl ester based resins.

Because of the pendant backbone hydroxyls, Phenoxy resins can be work in thermoset applications with select crosslinkers to provide maximum strength, heat resistance, and chemical resistance.

Phenoxy can also be formulated into epoxy and urethane based composite formulations to provide toughness and adhesion to the reinforcement.

Gabriel UV Products offer an excellent combination of toughness and tensile strength to thermoset gel coats and matrix resins, both in thermal peroxide and in UV cure formulations.
